Cable Support Systems is currently hiring experienced and entry level technicians. Technicians will work with state-of-the-art communications systems that provide a range of services including VoIP telephony, broadband data modems, and digital video systems. Ideal candidates will:

Install Techs

Prepare for scheduled installations and/or service calls by reviewing orders; gathering equipment, supplies, and tools; coordinating schedules with customers.

Plan installations or service calls by evaluating location; locating access; laying-out equipment and wiring plan.

Establish network interconnectivity by installing requisite equipment; running and pulling cable; programming and calibrating equipment; adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.

Verify system functionality by testing equipment and connections; identifying and correcting problems.

Maintain records by documenting installation, service, and repairs.

Service Techs

Maintain and improve service by listening to customer's description of problems; diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing problems; replacing and upgrading components; referring to schematics, manuals, and manufacturers' instructions.

Maintain customer rapport by resolving concerns; answering questions.

Maintain safe work environment by following safe practices and adhering to safety policy.

Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading current technical publications.

Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Follow all company policy and procedures and accept other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D.; good verbal and writing skills.

Must be able to lift 65 lbs and climb utility poles.

One year experience in electronics, CATV, telecommunications, or related field is preferred but not required. Two years of customer service experience preferred but not required.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Truck is preferred but not required.

A Negative pre-employment drug test and criminal background check is required.
